The Ghost Is Coming For Me

I had terrible dreams last night, ones that don’t foretell a good future for me. For some reason I kept dreaming the ghost in the house was after me, wouldn’t leave me alone. At one point I remember them materializing in front of me just like in a Hollywood movie. I remember screaming at him to leave me alone. I kept waking up, and no matter how hard I tried to force myself to dream about something else, I kept dreaming about that damn ghost! Of course every time I woke up, I was paranoid and looking around the bedroom, sure he was in there.

Needless to say I’m even more anxious about next Tuesday night when I’m going to be home alone!

Cleaning House, Cleaning The Blog

The house, which was oh so clean only two weeks ago, is starting to show signs of dirtiness. I’m trying to keep it tidy as is, so I don’t end up wasting a whole day cleaning like I did two weeks ago and fuming over all the dirt. It would HELP if the BF would fricken open all his mail, which is piling up. I threatened him it would go in the trash if he didn’t open it. I think this weekend when I clean up the kitchen and desk area, I’ll be gathering up all his mail (which I have sorted) and just hiding it. I’ll see how long it takes him to notice it is gone, then I’ll say I told you to open it or I’d throw it away!

I’ve also been trying to clean up the blog. Since merging it with my old one, the categories are a mess. I need to go through them all, fix the broken pictures, refile a bunch of the posts. Uhg, I’ll get to that one day 🙂 No I’ve been slowly doing it here and there, but it won’t affect anyone unless they go digging through the archive. I am also trying to tweak the layout and side columns a bit. Again, most people won’t notice anything is up really. Oh and yes, one day I’ll eventually get that dang photo gallery of mine up to date. I think I have 2-3 vacations to post photos of! Too many things to do, never enough time to do them. I’m also working on a few other side web projects, which if I can ever get actually in presentable order I’ll unveil. Right now they are so way down on my list of things to do though I’m not sure when they’ll see the light!

Anyways, I’m off to watch a movie, if anything good I’ll be sure to give a report/review.

Home Alone!

So today I found out the BF and his sister have to go to some trade show next week, and they are actually staying overnight in a hotel at the place the show is going on. Way to let me know, I found out when he was talking with someone else who would be there!

This of course means I will be spending the night all alone one day next week. Now I’m a big boy, I had my own apartment for years, so I have slept alone. However this will be the first time sleeping in a whole house, alone, just me . . . the animals . . . and the ghosts. I am not going to lie, I’ll be a tad nervous. I’ll be taking the dogs to bed with me that night probably 🙂

Oh Britney!

Like many Americans I am guessing, I only tuned into the VMA’s to see Britney Spears open it. If you missed this, um, performance? Well you can watch it over at MTV. What can I say about this mess? First, the media is making her out to be a fat cow, which she’s not. She’s full figured, she’s had two kids. She probably should have made better wardrobe choices, but she’s by no means a cow. I know Britney loves to lip sych, but for her come back performance it was one time she SHOULDN’T have! She also stopped singing at times, as if she got confused or scared. As for her dancing, did she forget how? Terrible! She was stiff as a board. It is clear that she was petrified during this whole thing. Unfortunately now she’s being crucified! I don’t know, can she over come this? Will people buy her new album? Sadly I really wanted her to rock it, just to show the world and media who all talked badly about her.

The VMAs are tonight! Does anyone care?

I was reminded that the MTV Video Music Awards were tonight . . . . does anyone care anymore? I had to go look to see who was nominated. Shocker, every category is dominated by hip hop or R&B, namely Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z and Beyonce. I did however see Carrie Underwood in one category . . . . yeah right! Like MTV has ever played one of her videos . . . . ever . . . .cause they don’t show videos anymore!

Is it my imagination, or has MTV actually reduced the amount of categories for awards? I love the “most earth shattering collaboration” award category. Proves to me that there is no originality left in what gets airplay nowadays.

I think I might have to launch a lawsuit against MTV soon. Why? Well 1) suing has become the American way to get rich and 2) MTV really needs to rename itself because it’s false advertising. I suggest RTV, for Real World/Road Rules Television. Really that’s all it is anymore.

As Kathy Griffen would say . . . . . suck it MTV, you have become redundant.

Wind Chill Review

Last night I watched this movie “Wind Chill,” which was just released on DVD. I am not sure how I feel about it honestly. It is a disturbing and unsettling story for sure, but I screamed bloody murder at one point which means it gets points. I was also creeped out and unsettled, as well as surprised by the ending.

The premise is that two students, a guy and a girl, are ride sharing a car from college home to Delaware for Christmas Break. During the ride the girl soon figures out something is up with the boy, who has a crush on her and arranged this whole thing to get closer to her. Then they are involved in a car crash, wake up in a snow bank, the car won’t work and there is no sign of the car that hit them. As they struggle to survive, eerie and odd passersby begin to show up, but don’t seem to speak to them . . . . they are being haunted by other car crash victims!

What I liked about the movie was that it surprised me in the end. Through the whole thing I was waiting for the inevitable, predictable ending to the story . . . . which had been done a million times over. However they didn’t go there! What I also liked was that the movie was creepy in its presentation of the ghosts and there were a few good shock moments, one that made me scream really loud. What I didn’t care for as much was the mishmashed story, which only kinda made sense at the very end.

A good rent if your looking for a ghost story that will creep you out, but prepare to be a bit frustrated.

Cashless!

Uhg, I feel like a moron! On my birthday I went to an ATM, one of the drive up ones, to get cash to pay for Cheesecake Factory and some other stuff I was picking up that night. Well it seems I left my card in the ATM! I didn’t realize this till yesterday. The card has been closed, nothing fraudulent has happened so far, so I am safe. However I’m without an ATM card till next week. I have no way to get any cash this weekend to do shopping or anything! Grrrrrrr! I hate having to put things like groceries on a visa or something, but I guess it will have to be done!

DuhNuhNuhNuhNuhNah You Say Its Your Birthday?

birthday.jpg So today was my birthday. The big 32! It wasn’t a terribly eventful day I’m afraid, and there isn’t only about 50 or so minutes of it left of it.

For dinner I got takeout from the Cheesecake Factory. It was between that and PF Changs . . . it was hard to choose but Cheesecake won in the end because of their desserts . . . especially the godiava chocolate cheesecake . . . Mmmm mmmm good! As usual I ordered more than I could eat, so I’ll have it for tomorrow as well.

The BF got me a Kodak digital picture frame! I’ve always wanted one of these things! I’m currently going though all my photos and trying to find ones I like to put on the frame for the slide show 🙂 I have about 5 years of vacations to go through, not to mention photos of the dogs, the dirty photos I take of the BF when I sneak up on him . . . .

Pre-Birthday Gift

magicbullet.jpg Today I came home from picking up the dogs at the groomers. I found a package on my door step. It was addressed to me and said Happy Birthday next to my name. It was from the dental super store. Needless to say I was afraid. Had someone gotten me some kind of electric tooth brush for my birthday? The box was large, I could only surmise that there was a lot of dental products in there. What a crappy birthday gift I thought.

I opened it, it was the magic bullet! It’s this blender kit from TV, one of those infomercial products. I always wanted one, and my chat friends got it for me. Awwwww, so nice of them. So now I have to blend and chop anything and everything I can stick in it 🙂 I told Emily we have to have another slumber party soon so we can use it to make salsa, dips . . . drinks! Yes we can make frozen cocktails with it! Though summer is over so it’s probably not the best time of year for frozen drinks. Oh well, we’ll still make them.
