I Choose You Evil Wizard!

picture-22.jpg

I gave up on the facial hair experiments, the evil wizard look has filled in and I’ve shaped the side burns enough so that they aren’t too rednecky/mouton choppy.

The big labor day weekend is upon us. Wish I had something exciting planned, alas I don’t. I will be doing work as usual! Website, school, etc. The house is clean clean clean, so I don’t have to worry about that for once!

I do hope to make it to the movies at some point ๐Ÿ™‚

It Finally Happened

I had JUST started getting back to the gym after hurting myself way to much lately and it happened, the toenail finally fell off. Uhg. It’s so gross looking now. Seriously, worse than when the nail was on there and funny colors! Hopefully it will heal over quickly though.

I tried to make the Big Mac sauce I listed below. It turned out okay, but I didn’t have any relish. I thought I could steal the little I needed from the farm (they usually have some for a hot dog machine), but they had none! So I just made it without the relish. I think the relish may have added a bit more flavor. Oh I also used light miracle whip and french dressing, though I don’t think that had any impact really.

Speaking of food, I have been ordering Schwans the past few weeks. Mmmm mmmm good . . . . but 5 added pounds later I am thinking “Perhaps this wasn’t a good idea!” Then I bothered to actually look at the information on the packages of some of these things. Holy hell, no wonder it’s so good, it’s a calorie and fat fest!

Only other thing going on is that the remake of “Halloween” opens this weekend. I really want to see it, but I know I’ll come out hating it and wondering why the hell they remade what was already a classic. I have YET to see “Harry Potter.” It’s still playing, so I know I should get to the theater and see it. I also wanted to see “Hairspray” and “Transformers” this summer too, but never did. They are all surprisingly still in the theater though!

Oh the BF’s brother is coming tomorow afterall. I have to clean the guest room up as the cats have all been up in there and it will make him get all congested and stuff.

Like, I Can

This has been all over the local news today. It happened last week but 1) I didn’t watch the stupid Miss Teen USA Pageants and 2) I usually just don’t watch the news cause it’s pointless. So to many I guess this is old news!

Miss Teen South Carolina attempts to answer the question “Why 1/5th of Americans can’t find the US on a world map.”

She gives a really dumb answer, then goes on to talk about . . . well . . . I’m not exactly sure.

Poor thing, this will haunt her “for like eva!”

Filling In

I’m really not that red, I don’t know what was up with the tint. I tried to fix it a bit but it didn’t do much good.

As Tangina Barren Said . . . .

“This house is clean!” It only took me till 9pm, but I got the sucker clean! I even changed all the filters in my hepa filters, which should help keep things a tad dust and allergen free. Anyways, I now have to catch up on email, something else I’ve basically neglected as of late. Fun fun fun! Have some bills to pay, then maybe I’ll be able to kick back and relax a bit.

I took the google ads away today, but brought them back cause it was asked about. Basically I thought maybe the select ads that kept popping up were a tad offensive and I didn’t need to get comments on them. But oh well! Hopefully my latest bloggings will soon change the ads. It is kinda of interesting to see how they change base on what I blog about.

The BF’s brother is probably coming down this weekend. Tis the time of year for his weekend visits to help out at the farm, and soon he’ll be moving in for the Xmas season. More on this later. I do have an alert to post soon . . . lol . . . be scared!

The Final Look?

picture-11.jpg

I think I’ve run out of ideas and will settle for this, the evil warlord/wizard/tyrant look. Not the best pic, I’ll update it once everything fills in a bit more in places ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh and yes I was tired as hell when I took this, as I had to get up at 7:30 am for DirecTV and went to bed around 2am the night before! Uhg! They did however come and it’s installed. Also the Verizon deal includes long distance! So after a month’s evaluation of DirecTV and how it does through storms and what not, we may be making the switch over. I think we’ll only save about 20 bucks a month, but we’ll get a whole lot more with DirecTV.

Last night I apparently sawed some SERIOUS lumber. When I was finally woken up and alerted to this, as the BF couldn’t take it anymore, I was completely congested. So therefore I am about to go do a massive cleaning of the house. It’s far overdue at this point.

Toodles!

The Ads! The Ads! Plus DirecTV

Oh lord, all my talk of my shaving has now lead to various hair removal ads, including one that says “No more pubic hair ever.” That’s a little too much info right there! I of course clicked on it, cause I just had to see where it went to! Some Nair like site of course.

I had to wake up at the butt crack of dawn today because the DirecTV people were coming. I put in for noon-5pm install, but my online account said they were coming freom 8am-noon! Of course my emails reflected the later time, and of course they showed up around noon. They actually called at 11am to see if they could come earlier than they were supposed to. They are here now installing it as I blog. Yeah!

I got the cheapo 30 bucks a month package. I wanted to get a better deal, but decided not to. They offer channels our cable doesn’t carry, but I really want (like Boomerang). I want to test it out first, then if we like it we may upgrade. Plus the main reason I’m getting this is for a soap, would I really sit in the guest room (where it’s going for now) and watch the other channels? I doubt it.

One of the main problems with going totally DirecTV is that they don’t do internet anymore, they once used to. We aren’t about to give up our cable modem and go back to dial-up! Also we have Vonage through our internet. To go to something like DSL plus back to normal phone service would be too expensive. As luck would have it, Verizon sent a flier for their Verizone Fios stuff. 69.99 for phone and fios internet combined! I have to look into this and find out if this is just local phone, or if it includes long distance or is a VOIP like Vonage. But that price is about what we pay for cable internet and Vonage together. It could make the switch over to all DirecTV in the house a lot easier, and I think we’d save money verses what we pay the monopoly known as Comcast.

PS I now expect to see some ads for DirecTV, Vonage and Comcast show up!

Big Mac, Fillet of Fish, Quarderpounder with Cheese . . . .

Don’t you deserve a break today? Recently I tried a Big Mac. I never ever had one before, I know. I liked the special sauce, but the rest was too much bread, too much lettuce and two all beef patties that I think are smaller than the ones in the happy meal burgers! Anyways I just liked the sauce, so I googled and found a few recipes for them. There are some variations (like mayo vs miracle whip). Has anyone ever tried to make them? Here are the two most popular I found.

Big Mac Sauce – Copycat Recipe

1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons French dressing
4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon finely minced white onions
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt

Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl.

Stir well.

Place sauce in a covered container and refrigerate for several hours, or overnight, so that the flavors blend.

Stir the sauce a couple of times as it chills.

Big Mac Sauce – Recipe 2

1/2 c. creamy French dressing
1 c. Miracle Whip (not mayonnaise)
1/4 c. sweet relish
1 tsp. minced onion
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper

Mix all ingredients together. Blend real well. Spread on hamburger or other meat or fish. Top with shredded lettuce and tomato, if desired.

Seriously, I didn’t realize it would be this big! Princess has already adopted it as her throne, as you can see. I’m washing a throw to put on it now, because I don’t want dirty dog smell to leak through to the foam inserts. Unfortunately I can’t keep her off it!

In other news, this weekend I plan to try the last facial hair experiment. I already have it planned out, just waiting for it to fill in!
