Halloween On My Mind!

Thanks to the guy who parked his car in our front lawn last month, there has been a gaping hole in the overgrown shrubs on the side of the house. I have been meaning to go just tear them down and try and make it look somewhat nice, but only today got around to starting it.

The bare spot also begged to be used for Halloween. This year I shall expand beyond the porch and the front yard and put something on the side corners to scare on coming traffic πŸ™‚

I was hoping to scare John as he came home tonight, but he caught me in the act. I’m either going to fill this hole with Jason or my ghost. I think because of the darkness on that side of the house the ghost, possibly black lit, would work really well. On the otherside I’m going to either have an alien (who I put in the attic last year) or just hang a zombie from a tree.

Tofuuuuu! Tofuuuuu!

“Tofu” is a friendly zombie, created from a botched experiment in Professor Vost’s laboratory. Monkey # 5, one of Vost’s lab animals, stuffed a block of tofu into the zombie boy’s open skull after accidentally losing the brain. As a result, “Tofu” eats only vegetables and grains and has no taste for human meat. However, if “Tofu” ever loses his “tofu-brain”, he turns into a dangerous zombie creature, craving human flesh.

I had to buy this when I saw it this weekend. I think everyone knows my love for Tofu. Combined with a Zombie toy? That is awesome!

I will be sure to proudly display Tofu this Halloween πŸ™‚ Emily and Becky, he’s coming for you!

Oh Oh It

Driving around today I saw my first Spirit Halloween Store of the season. It was a new one, or at least a new location for them. I really wanted to go in, but I don’t think they were open yet.

Back in August I bought these two signs for my yard at MonsterMania. I also plan to expand my faux cemetery fence to fence in the whole cemetery this year. I think this will help solve in part the issue I had last year with wind gusts. My cemetery headstones kept blowing away, and I’d have to go find them. Fencing it in, will at least keep them in my yard! I’m going to try to get some metal rods and really secure them into the ground this year.

I also plan to utilize the tree area where that guy crashed and took out our bushes. I’m going to hang my ghost in there and shine a black light on it. It should be dark enough to really make it glow πŸ™‚

In other news, I seem to be getting sick again. I thought I kicked my cold, but last night I was a mess and up all night coughing. Today in class I ended up almost completely losing my voice. Thank the baby Jesus that the weekend is here!

What A Wonder!

John got me these GIANT wall decals of Wonder Woman for my birthay. The one of her is so f’ing big I currently don’t have a free wall to hang it on in the Wonder Woman room! I guess I’m going to have to step up my plans for turning it into the office area, and the other spare/junk room into the downstairs guest room.

I also really love the artistic/design of these. I think when I finally get that Wonder Woman tattoo I’ll use bring these in for the artist to use πŸ™‚

What Deity Did I Piss Off?

I am feeling a bit cursed right now, as well as a bit of deja vous. It’s the first week of classes at R-University, and I’m coming down with a cold. I knew it was coming on this weekend, and try as I might to fight it with vitamin C, zinc and rest . . . I woke up feeling horrible this morning. I am so glad I planned an easy first week, with a movie for the second day of class (knowing half of them wouldn’t have books yet and half wouldn’t read anything yet). By Friday I don’t know how much of a voice I’ll have to speak with, as I’m raspy now.

Next week after Labor Day M-University starts up. I should hopefully be feeling better by then. Sadly it looks like I’m gunna be sick for my birthday weekend. WTF Baby Jesus! This happened to me last year too on my birthday. I caught some bug and just felt yucky all day. Grrrrr! Not that I had plans to do anything, but still.
