This Is Some Shit Of Which I Do Not Need!

6pm, almost 24 hours since I was told I’d be up and running soon. Nothing, can’t get access to make updates, haven’t heard a workd from my current server.

I ordered a new server from another company, they are setting it up but it will probably not be done till tomorrow. Then there is taking the time to upload and learn everything about the new platform.

My jaw is hurting because I am so tense. I should be focusing on school work, not worrying about this crap that has been going on since Monday morning.

Furious!

At 7pm last night my time (server is on the east coast) I was informed everything would be up and running again with my soap page.

11am the next day, still no access to my soap server.

Steam is coming out of my ears. I may have to go to the gym again just because of stress!

I’m buying a new server today and moving the page to it this weekend.

Stresssssssss!

Uhg, can this week get any worse? For starters we’ve had four (?) straight days of terrible storms. I realize people out there (Fran) need rain, we have too much!

Nikko seems to be on a bathroom strike, as in he refuses to go to the bathroom outside and would rather just go inside.

My soap server has given me troubles the past two days. I’m currently locked out from updating it at the moment and have no idea when I’ll get access to it again. I was told in a few hours. People have started emailing me since I don’t have the update up. Shit happens people, sorry!

The soap server problems have taken me over the past few days, so I haven’t gotten much school work done. Grrr! There is nothing I can do about the soap server, but it’s getting to me and giving me a headache and is just a distraction.

I did NOT get up early enough to hit the gym this morning. I took two benadryl last night before bed for the allergy eye, which is better today. However the benadryl made me not want to get up. I did get up earlier than normal, just not early enough. I did however get to the gym this afternoon. I’m still stressed though.

Tonight while walking the dogs I noticed across the field some red and white funky lights were shining up from behind the woods. I don’t know what was causing it, it could just be something I never noticed or storms in the distance. I tried to take a photo, but the lack of a tripod and the rain didn’t make it easy.

Where Did I Put My Hands? AKA Don

At some point yesterday I touched something I shouldn’t have and then rubbed my eye. This summer my eyes have been killing me because of my allergies, so I’ve been rubbing them a lot. Yeah I know this is bad. Well this morning I woke up to find the skin under my right eye all swollen and inflamed. Ick! I took a benadryl hoping that would help it go down. It has, but it also made me tired all day. Every task seemed to take me ages to get done.

Hopefully by tomorrow morning I’ll be back to normal. Tomorrow I’m going to attempt to get up by 7am so I can get to the gym around 8am. More likely I’ll get there between 9 and 10am though. I’ll report back on whether I was able to do this early morning feat.

After that yummy pasta I had last night I once again decided I wanted a pasta maker. The Popiel Pasta maker, while the cheapest, seems to get mixed reviews. The other machines I just can’t see myself spending that much money for. After thinking it over, I really would just want to make ravioli or tortellini, and most pasta makers don’t do that. The closest they get is lasagna noodles, which you could make into the others. However Emily told me just make the dough, roll it out and cut it! I do have a bread-maker so I could easily use that to mix the dough. So that’s the plan, some weekend Emily and I are going to experiment with making raviolis 🙂

Movie Review: Silent Hill

So last night I finally got to watch “Silent Hill.” I was looking forward to seeing this in the theater, until a friend told me it was terrible. Well I waited for it to come out on DVD and can say it’s not terrible at all. It’s not great either. It’s just okay. The movie, for those who don’t know, is based on a videogame series. If you are not a fan of the games then you might not enjoy the film that much to be honest.

The game attempts to follow the storyline of the 1st, and best of the games. Changes have been made though. In the original game you played Harry Mason and were driving with your daughter Cheryl, the two of you happened to go to Silent Hill. An accident occurred, when Harry woke up after being knocked out his daughter was gone. He then followed a phantom girl who looked just like his daughter through the creepy town of Silent Hill while trying to find his daughter.

In the movie the main character is the little girl’s mother, and the little girl’s name is Sharron. Sharron was adopted by this family, but she suffers terrible nightmares as if from a past life. The mother takes her to the place in her dreams to try and figure out what is going on. The place? Silent Hill.

Some elements of the story have been retained, such as Alessa, the fire, the nightmare world. All the monsters are there, Cybill the Cop and Dahlia are also there. However Dahlia’s story has been changed, she’s no longer the bad guy. Alessa’s story and purpose has changed as well. I won’t spoil it for those who intend to watch it.

The movie is creepy for sure, just as the game was. It’s surprisingly not difficult to understand, the game was. The movie eventually spells out exactly what is going on for the viewer at one point. Even before that it explains the history of Silent Hill, something the game never really did. There are a few loose ends, they never explain the demon Alessa or exactly what happens at the end.

If you want a thriller that is creepy and very unusual, give it a try. It’s probably not going to scare you much. What made the game so creepy was a combination of very little lighting, the way the creatures moved and of course the music and sound effects, all of which are kept in the movie.

PSA For Pasta Lovers

I love pasta! It’s a carbohydrate weakness of mine. Tonight I had one of the best pastas I’ve ever had in my life. The company that makes it is a local NJ company called Severino. I don’t know how wide spread their distribution is for the stuff, but look for it in your local grocery store. I have has some of their stuff and it’s okay, but what I had tonight was Eggplant and Gorgonzola Ravioli. It was out of sight! It was so good that you didn’t even need a sauce to eat it, and in fact too much sauce takes away from the ravioli. Yum yum!

You Make The Beat Go Boom Papi

I like to listen to music when I work, and I often put on the dance station on the cable. This song seems to come up every time I turn it on. I use to just dislike it, now I DESPISE it. It’s been in my head for a week now. I’ll be walking along and finding myself singing the damn song. Get out of my head!

I finally got to the gym today! Woo hoo! Now that I took the plunge and went once I’m sure it will be easier to start going regularly. I’m shooting for Tuesday and Thursday of this week. I have realized how out of shape I have gotten since going today. I need to get myself sexified for the cruise in January.

I’m also going to try my hardest to get up at decent hours this week. On the days my BF isn’t getting up at 5:30am I’m going to do my best to wake up with him between 6 and 6:30am. Yes I know this is normal for some people, but not for me. It’s going to take a good week or two to adjust my body clock to this schedule. If I can get up that early I can probably hit the gym more often, yeah!

One thing I didn’t get around to this weekend was going to the movies. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that all the movies I wanted to see will have to wait for DVD probably. Oh well.

An Optical Illusion

My brother sent this. It’s actually pretty cool, assuming you can watch it all the way through the end without being sick! While the small version below does work, head here for a Windows Media version that allows you to view it full screen for best results.

PS Please don’t complain to me if you get sick watching this 🙂

Crummy Day

Today was not a good day at all. It started at 4:30 am when an insane storm woke us up. I’m talking winds, rain and hail that sounded like someone was pounding on the side of the house. Then the BF’s alarm went off at 5:30, fortunately it was calm enough that I could walk the dogs then. By 6:30 I realized I was not getting back to sleep. Now whenever I get up too early, it throws my stomach off for the whole day. If I sleep to late, I get a headache and am overtired. It’s a delicate balance for sure. So I was a wreck most of the day and I think the doggies picked up on it, they were moping around with me. Needless to say I didn’t make it to the gym. I did a bunch of pointless errands and tried to do work, it wasn’t happening. So I farted around and played my new favorite obsession, “Grand Theft Auto.” I don’t know how I never bothered to play these games before. They are the most addicting games ever! Talk about a way to take out your aggression. I like running over people. I know that sounds horrible, but it’s fun (in the game of course).

Jessica

You can now stream Jessica Simpson’s new album “Public Affair” right here (requires IE).

I’m not sure how I feel about it. I haven’t got too far into it. I previously blogged about how she ripped off Madonna’s “Holiday” for her first single “Public Affair.” Well she’s also redone Dead or Alives “Spin Me Round,” keeping the chorus only (Sacrilege!). So far other tracks seem to borrow from Gloria Estefan, Stevie Nicks and other 80s artists.

Give it a listen, see what you think.

*update: Ooo Papatoni We Got Some Loonies! I am getting comments out the wazoo on this post! I’m guessing it’s coming from a blog search engine or something?
