Another album I’m currently enjoying along with the new Alanis’ is the new Cyndi Lauper album “Bring Ya To The Brink.” It’s a total departure for her from her past few albums, which were more contemporary in feel. This one goes back to her pop roots and is pure dance fun! The following is her new video for “Into The Night,” which was filmed at Splash in New York City.

  1. Funny story about Cindi Lauper, I had no idea till I was in my 20’s what ‘She Bop’ was about till I heard them talking about it on the radio and I was, “What? Really? Wow! My mom let me sing that song all the time when I was a kid!!” And I also didn’t know what Michael Jackson’s ‘Billy Jean’ was really about till I was an adult AND the song from Grease, ‘Grease Lightin’- have you read the lyrics? AGAIN, no clue till I was older. I hope the same can be said for my kids while I let them sing along too Nickelback’s ‘Rockstar’ and Fergies ‘Fergalious’ (sp?)

  2. Glad I’m not the only one!! :)… once you found out did you instantly picture yourself singing along to it and not having ANY idea what you were really saying?? I did 🙂
