After a bunch of work I’m tired and am just now winding down for the night. I just thought I’d share some photos for the day.

Princess didn’t want to sit still for the camera today, but Nikko was a good subject.

Today was supposed to be the day that I disregarded all my statistics and data analysis for my dissertation and concentrated on writing a background chapter. I decided I had to break up the monotony of statistics, taking one or two days a week to concentrate on the background stuff would be a great way to do that. Unfortunately as I began to outline the chapter I was hit with a major migraine. I’m finally now just getting over it after napping a bit, but I don’t want to tempt it by being on the PC too much. Hopefully later I’ll be able to actually do some work. Till then, I felt this was fitting to post . . .

Lately my dreams have been haunted by hair, long hair. For those who have been reading the soap page long enough, you may remember I had really long hair for a long long time. Fortunately I do not think I have any of those photos on this PC, so no I cannot post one at the moment. I just checked, nope they aren’t on here (thank God!)

Honestly I can’t stand looking at the old photos of me, I look so dorky! In my room here in Va is this big ass poster board my friend Kim made up one year. I was interviewed by NBC Soaps In Depth (when there was still an NBC magazine) and they published a photo of me with the interview. Well Kim blew the whole thing up and put it on a poster, which she gave to me after surprising me with it in front of tons of people. Well having to stare at this thing has made me have dreams that I have long hair again. Every now and then I’ll have these dreams, half way through the dream I’ll be like “Hey when did I grow my hair out again?” The said thing is I wake up and it kicks in my hair isn’t long anymore, and I for a second miss it. Then I remember from the dream what having long hair felt like, then I remember the mess of having to comb the knots out, of having to blow dry it if I didn’t want it to curl up.

Every know and then I think it would be fun to have long hair again . . . . . then I see the photos of me and wise up!

*Update!*

Wow it sucks what you can find on the net when you look hard enough. These are from an old old old way old page I had on one of those “freebie” webpage accounts. After 30 minutes I remembered the password, was able to log in and delete the incriminating evidence. These are the last traces of it, so enjoy!

This has been around for awhile, I’m slow. It’s so bizarre that I had to share it. Before you give up, wait it out till about the 3:15 minute mark, which makes it all worth it.

Oh yeah, bad language involved, so don’t blast this at say work.

Rented a car and came home to Virginia for the week. Yeah I still have not bought a car for myself. I really wanted to, but that is a whole other world of pressure I really don’t need on my head right now. I’m thinking maybe in January or February when my BF is off work and can go with me and check things out. Plus I should be a lot less stressed by school.

Speaking of school, I must do schoolwork this week! I tend to sit around and watch movies when I’m home in Virginia, I can’t let myself do that. Must . . . do . . . work!

On the drive down I had the pleasure of having a rental car with XM satellite radio. If I had a car and drove it enough I would totally get one of these things. While like cable, there are hundreds of channels of crap I’d never listen to, I loved the dance channels as well as the 80s and 90s channels. I got to listen to an old broadcast of Casey Kaseem, I think from 82. The number one song was “Ebony and Ivory!” Also in the top ten was Human League, Asia, Tommy Twotone and Willy Nelson. Too funny!

What ever happened to Casey? Is he still married to that blond giantess? I seemed to remember he had an incident on air and may have lost his job after it. I can’t recall. I don’t even listen to the radio much anymore so I don’t know if his Top 40 is still on the air. I do remember tuning in every Sunday to listen and tape my favorite songs.

1:15 AM . . . . I just walked the dogs. In the middle of the field I walk them up and down was a white balloon bobbing up and down. All I could think was that Tim Curry was going to show up in a clown suit and kill me.

First up I want to recommend another movie. This one is called “49 Days” and it’s an Asian flick, which means your going to have to read subtitles. The movie is part thriller, part ghost story, part drama. It actually reminds me of two major Hollywood films, but if I say which ones then I’ll give too much away! Likewise if I even try to tell you what it’s about, I’ll give too much away! I’ll give you only a brief bit of the story though. It takes place at the turn of last century, I believe in Taiwan. A man is accused of setting fire to his medicine/herb factory and killing several workers inside, he is sentenced to die. A female lawyer takes his case hoping to save him from execution and prove his innocence, as well as prove herself to her father. That’s about all I can tell you really. It’s not so much of a mystery as you know he’s innocent and you know who did it from the getgo. It’s other things about the story you don’t know, which unfold later down the road. Some of them are easy to spot, others aren’t. I enjoyed it, I thought I’d pass it along.

I had to cancel my dinner on Thursday this week. I had some personal issues (ie I was grumpy). The day wasn’t going well, I was really stressed out over the fact that I didn’t get enough done and I knew I wouldn’t be good company. Saturday night I have plans with Emily for her birthday, but again it’s going to depend on my stress load. I haven’t been cheerful lately and nobody wants to be around a grumpypuss. I’m going to do my best to go, I know I need a night out of this house and away from my PC!

Speaking of getting away from the PC, I’m really thinking I need a wireless vacation 🙂 The problem is I would have to arrange for the vacation to be somewhere that I know for sure I would not have internet access! If I have access, I’ll bring my PC for sure. For my cruise in January I’m determined not to worry about the page updates as much as I have with past cruises/vacations (easier said than done I know!).

I spent the majority of today working with a statistics program I’m using for my dissertation, as well as reading theory behind the statistical processes I’m using. Not page turning stuff if you couldn’t tell from the topic. I finally got the hang of it though and churned out some pretty graphs which I’m analyzing on Saturday. Progress!

Finally, I’ve decided that I should have some kind of question and answer feature for the blog. You can respond to this with any burning questions you would love me to answer, I’ll do my best to answer them. I have a few conditions 🙂 Nothing sexual or adult oriented, family members read this blog and possibly some friends. Also nothing soap oriented. I know many soap page readers read this, I don’t want to answer who my favorite character is or who I think so and so should be with 🙂 Ask something you really want to know about me, if there is anything.

I’m busy working on the dissertation and find myself at a loss for words today. Actually I had some things to talk about, I’ll just save them for the weekend 🙂 I’m going to share two photos I took of the animals last night.

First up is Percy, who is getting bigger and eyeing the fish in the tank. The second was Nikko around 2am last night. I was watching some haunted show on Discovery which scared the crap out of me, he was playing dead on the couch.
