So yes, as usual, I’ve been terrible about keeping this blog up to date. I thought I’d make a fun video blog post, but not just any video blog post. In case any old “Days Page” fans drop by from time to time and wonder if I still watch the show . . . the answer is YES! That’s How We Decorate A Tree In The Merry Old Land Of Virginia

So I made it home to Virginia today. As usual I spent the night decorating the sci-fi tree. I have some photos on my camera of all the Jersey decorations. Once I take some photos down here in Virginia I’ll make a post. I got almost the entire village of Bethlehem up this year, I was short on space for six freaking figures. Grrrr!

I have a lot of work to do this week, it will be interesting to see how much gets done. Some of it, like grading final exams, I really would rather not do. Other stuff I have to get done before I can get on that big boat in January. I did finally book our hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, so aside from packing and a few new articles of clothes, the vacation is pretty much set.

Till I can post more, I leave you with this amazing Christmas Carol. You’ll be singing it all this week, which will make you very popular around the family, especially the kids.

Moo Kitty came through the surgery fine, and assuming all is well in the morning, he’ll be coming home tomorrow.

Scissor Sisters!

Last night was the Scissor Sisters concert at the Electric Factory here in philly. It was soooo much fun. We got there really early, and the place was dead. I was worried it wouldn’t be a good turn out, but by time they took the stage the place was packed.

We, for some reason, just climbed to the top/back of the place. The upstairs is where the adults go to drink, the downstairs for the underage and those who want to mosh. John kept commenting how everyone seemed so olllllddddd. I said you were the one who wanted to come all the way up here!

My camera/phone didn’t get really good photos when they were playing. Too many bright lights and it kept washing out. I did get some good ones during songs they had trippy light shows going.

I found a new app, and I have to say I’m gunna have a WHOLE lot of fun with this come Halloween. To think, I was actually considering not decorating this year after the horrific winds of last. I just need to remember to hit Home Depot for the supplies I need to keep things from blowing away this year . . . and pray we don’t get the hurricane force winds again.

Sledding!

I was determined to go sledding, but we didn’t have any sleds. I had planned to use an old skateboard deck, but couldn’t find them. They may have been thrown out . . . GASP! This is what we had used in the past few years if we ever went sledding (and it’s been years, but I know we had them circa 2006 as I have photos of us on them that Christmas).

We had old old metal saucers in the back corner of the yard . . . under two feet of snow of course! I’ve never had luck with those things unless your sledding on a sheet of ice (which tonight we will probably have out there). However the saucers have been there for so long, and are pretty dented.

I headed to the attic hoping maybe the skateboards were up there. They weren’t, but and old old old “you’ll shoot your eye out” era wooden sled with real metal runners was! I had struck gold.

So my brother and I headed out to sled down the street. We kept having to wait as stupid idiots were out driving. I’m tempted to go out after dark when it’s a sheet of ice (and hopefully nobody is stupid enough to be driving, but you know they will be). Usually most people in the past have gone down this street after dark because cars don’t traverse it too much.

Anyway, enjoy some photos and videos! (the videos may need time to be fully uploaded and converted to HD quality as well).

Oh Yes . . . It’s Turkey Lurkey Time AGAIN!

Given I know people are busy this time of year, I’m posting this a bit early. One year I did it early, one year I did it later. However I know you bitches (said with lurve, please let’s not relive the “Lifetime” joke drama!) are expecting this from me again. I have been posting it for a few years now, and this time I think I’ve out done myself with what I’ve found for you. It’s almost brand spanking new, added this very month! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, see posts from 2008 and 2007.

BTW, if you didn’t know, the musical “Promises Promises” which this number comes from (based on the move “The Apartment”) is going to have a Broadway reprisal next year. It’s going to star THE Miss Kristen Chenowith (Glee, Wicked) and THE Mr. Jack McFarland (WIll and Grace)! Oh yes, I will be there!

BTW, next year perhaps I’ll learn this dance and do it for you. How about that? I know you bitches wanna see that!
