Seriously, I didn’t realize it would be this big! Princess has already adopted it as her throne, as you can see. I’m washing a throw to put on it now, because I don’t want dirty dog smell to leak through to the foam inserts. Unfortunately I can’t keep her off it!
In other news, this weekend I plan to try the last facial hair experiment. I already have it planned out, just waiting for it to fill in!
Today, like yesterday, was very very wet. I’m not that fond of rainy days, but then who is I guess. I know some people love them, and there are times when a good rainy day can be fun for staying in doors and vegging in front of the TV. Unfortunately with two small dogs that have to be walked, it’s not that fun. Nikko could care less about the rain, but Princess well . . . she’s a princess. The minute we get out of the gravel driveway and to the the grass, she’ll dig her heels. She will not walk in the wet grass, no sir! She will insist we turn around and go back inside.
My facial hair finally is back to normal, though I must admit I was tempted to do another weird silly move with it this weekend. I didn’t, but who knows what I’ll feel like tomorrow morning 
I ordered my birthday present today. Yes I have bought myself a birthday present for the past several years. Hey it’s my birthday, I can do what I want. I ordered myself a love-sac, which I’ve wanted for almost two years since I first saw them. They are basically a giant designer bean bag chair, but instead of Styrofoam beads it is filled with shredded durafoam. They are the most comfy things ever! Unfortunately when I first saw them 2 years ago, they came in 2 sizes, both insanely expensive and insanely large. Now they’ve branched out and are in a variety of sizes, so I got s small one just for me. I want it for gaming and for watching movies. I can’t wait till it comes. I’ll probably have to throw a sheet over it because of the dogs, who will decide I in fact purchased it for them. They can sleep on it, I just don’t want it to smell like them Plus Niko may decide the purpose of it is in fact a giant stuffed animal that exists for him to rip apart. I’ll have to watch that. If there is something over it, he might not figure it out.
I woke up this morning and soon enough, the arm was aching like mad again. I thought I slept carefully, though a few times I woke up catching myself having turned over a weird way during the night. I tend to sleep on my sides, which is why I thought sleeping odd is what has whacked my arm up.
This afternoon while walking the terrors is when it hit me. The arm hurting me is the arm I hold Nikko’s leash with. Normally he is very good walking on the leash, actually much better than Princess who actually went through obedience school. However if he sees something he wants, he’ll try and dart and pull me to get to it. I’m wondering if maybe he’s pulled a little too much lately. Yes he’s small, but don’t underestimate him!
In other news, Emily and I canned the movie night tomorrow. She needed a break and I really have a lot I need to get done too. In two weekends is when Keith comes. Yeah funness! My birthday is the week after I think. Absolutely nothing has been planned. So many of my friends moved away this year, so the ones I normally would be going to dinner with I won’t. Emily’s birthday is after mine, we may try and plan something in the middle.

Well I think I’m ready for fall. We’ve been having a heat wave and the air quality has just been terrible outside. Somehow I’m thinking we’ll end up skipping fall and just going right into winter though, since we seem to just skip spring and go right into summer.
Somehow I have either contracted ANOTHER cold, or the one I had wasn’t completely gone and rebounded on me. I’m not happy about this, but it seems I have gotten better a lot quicker than the last one.
Nikko had his first experience today learning not everything on the ground that is food should be eaten. Case in point, it seems someone dropped a jalapeno pepper. It probably fell off one of the trucks and ended up on the sidewalk by the house. I told him no! He didn’t listen! He had a little bit of a wheezing fit and then when he got inside he went a little spazzy rubbing his face in the blankets on the couch. Lesson learned I think.
Anyways, I’m off to do my lately nightly ritual. Chill on the couch and play some videogames. Lately I’ve been into these two RPGs I got on my PSP, Gurumin and Brave Story.
Princess Bumbles is 3 years old today! How time flies. It seems like I took this photo only yesterday.
Of course daddy happens to be leaving her on her birthday, but somehow I don’t think she knows it’s her birthday. Therefore the guilt is all on me. She knows I’m leaving though, the suitcase is out and every time I go out the door for anything she goes nuts.

So I made it four days without meat, but tonight I caved. I went out to dinner with friends to PF Changs and had some meat. Starting tomorrow though I’m back on the wagon. I think I’m going to allow myself meat as long as it’s at a sit down restaurant, anytime else no meat!
Princess had to go to the vet on Friday. She’s been really itchy since the weather got hot. One of her ears has been bothering her real bad and got that wonderful dirty waxy build up. I knew it was swollen. She’s back on prednisone (sp?) for 2 weeks to open her ear back up, then I have to give her basic antihistamines to see if that helps. My poor baby!
I’m meeting a friend for drinks tomorrow evening. She heads to Seattle where she has a new 2 year job. I’m going to miss her so, but she’s determined to return to Philly when the job is over.
I know I had something else I wanted to blog about, but it’s late and I can’t remember. Plus I have that infernal Amy Winehouse song “Rehab” stuck in my head. It’s this years “Discotheca” on the cable music channel. They play it almost once an hour.

The strawberry fields were full of people who came to pick strawberries, so the doggies had a full day of people watching out the back door.
That seems to be what I was most of this week . . . annoyed. That paper I wrote and had to turn in in march for publication, the bane of my existence at the time, has returned! It seems I need to do some edits on it, they are sending it to me . . . . I need to have their edits done by mid June! Basically I have a week to try and get the stuff done. Not thrilled about that, especially since I don’t know what they want changed.
Princess has been an itch monster this week. She hasn’t been this bad with the itching in a looooong time. I know she can’t help it and it sucks to be her, but it does get on my nerves too! Thump thump thump thump! She’s getting a bath tomorrow in itch shampoo, I’m hoping it will help and maybe get some of the grass pollen off of her. Otherwise it’s back to the vet and probably a week of prednisone for her. Fun fun fun! It makes her pee a lot. If it isn’t the grass and heat that is doing it (I think it is) then it’s her treats, which I did change this week. Same treat, same makers, just the “organic grain free” version. Maybe she’s allergic to healthy I did notice an abundance of “grain free” foods in the store after the pet food scare. They are also a lot more than the regular versions I must stay.
Other things have bugged me this week too, but I’m not getting into them. I have to try and relax this weekend. Well that would be nice, but I don’t have time to relax! Too much to do as always. I have to get a lot of work done tomorrow before the evening. Tomorrow night is try #3 at PF Changs and video gaming with friends. I really can’t cancel this time, otherwise they’ll never speak to me again
My doggies seem to have lost their appetites. I don’t know if it’s the warmer weather, or if they are bored with their food. They tend to just leave it sitting in their bowls and nibble on it throughout the day. Right now they are only getting kibble. I took them off the wet food I mixed in months ago because, well Princess had gotten a bit fat. I think she’s lost a few pounds though and I might try giving them the wet, but NOT as much as I used to.
The final two performers performed on “American Idol” tonight. Sorry but Blake sucked. The BF didn’t think so, but I didn’t like anything he did aside from the Bon Jovi repeat. If Blake wins there is no justice and this show is a popularity content. Then again if he wins it will give Kathy Griffin soooooooo much material for her act.
Switching topics again The BF got some survey sent to the farm or what not and filled it out. Because he completed it he got a free two night cruise to Nassau! I said there has to be a catch, what do they want us to buy? A timeshare/cruise package (oh yes, cruises are now doing their own brand of time shares). He swears no, it’s a real free cruise. Oh let me tell you, there is a catch. It’s with a small cruise line, and by small I mean ONE SHIP. Oh and it’s a small ship at that! By small, I mean SMALL. I can’t yet find out from their site how many people it holds, but it is a “vintage” ship.
Now I’ve done 5 cruises with the BF, he introduced me to cruising. Before I wouldn’t have even thought to go one one. They are, in comparison to any other vacation one might do, a whole lot cheaper given what you get for your money. However I am afraid of drowning, I think it’s possibly the worst way to go (must be a past life thing). However the cruises are on huge boats as he put it and they are safe. Of course it was the “Look on this cruise you can go see Mayan Pyramids!” that got me to agree to the first one. After it I was hooked.
This however is a whole different story. This ship is tiny. We gunna die on this thing! The details on when haven’t been ironed out. I am wondering if we can sell it on Ebay Now I’m sure the cruise line has a good safety record and yada yada. But this ship scares me. We gunna die.
