Who

I admit it. Not only do I LOVE “Singstar” for the PS3, I want international fame. I will resort to cheap and tawdry tricks, like dancing with and singing to my Jason doll that hung on my porch the past 2 years for Halloween. Hey at least the context fit. I chose Alice Cooper’s “Poison” for the video. The song was featured in “Friday the 13th Part 7″ . . . . I think. It could have been 6. Who cares, I’m dancing and singing to Jason in this video people! I even uploaded it to the Singstar Scene for votes.

I . . . am . . . . pathetic . . . . .

Vote for me if you have the game!

DANCE! Or Fade Out . . . .

This is like the best thing I’ve seen in a long time! I needed this given the stressful week I’ve had. Big thanks to Hot Lunch for enlightening me to it!

No doubt some of you have heard the trouble Christian Bale has gotten himself in for his F Bomb dropping tirade on some poor lighting guy that walked into the middle of a scene he was shooting for the upcoming “Terminator Salvation Film.” (Dear Mr. Bale, I’m not sure anyone cares about Terminator that much anymore, especially without the Governator in it).

Well someone took the audio clip and turned it into the following dance mix. This is HILL AIR E US. There is even a special guest star in it!

This has dirty words in it. So yeah, don’t play this at work, unless you either want to get fired or become the hit of the office (and then probably get fired).

Happy New Year!

Sorry! iTunes Meme!

I ripped this off from Hot Lunch/

The Darkness AKA Time For Me To Make An Ass Out Of Myself

Oh yes, it’s about that time, to break for the rhythm and the rhyme . . . It’s time for me to post a “Singstar” video! In this installment I sing “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” by The Darkness. Not only was I totally trashed singing it, I was trashed editing it (which I did a good job considering my condition!). As I add it I’m still buzzed! Enjoy me making an ass out of myself!

Moving On Up!

So today I moved my mail and important documents over to the Mac, making the move complete. Well almost. Like I said there are a few programs (access) I still need on the PC. However I did switch the positions of my puters on the desk/table, putting the Mac front and center and the laptop to the side. I’m forcing myself to use the Mac and learn it.

My cold is slowly getting better. It’s gone to my ears at the moment, they are all plugged up. Yucky! It’s just pressure though, not an infection. Today was the first day I was able to get out of the house, as I needed to do some shopping. I bought some new warm jammies!

Why did I buy warm jammies? Well our heat decided to break the other day. The heater repairman had to come out today and fixed it the best he could, which means there could be more issues down the road. I’m sure we’ll get charged a pretty penny, but the heat is back for now. It’s bitterly cold here now, so I did not enjoy being without heat. We had space heaters, but they only work well in the small enclosed bedrooms. The living area was like an ice box.

Finally the Madonna concert was amazing. I hope though that it comes out on DVD, as I’d really like to see it without the distractions. Let’s just say there was some drama from some audience members around us. At times it was hard to figure out which show to watch.

Lets see first there were the two guys in front of us. One was clearly gay, the other it was obvious wasn’t sure. He certainly didn’t look it or sound it. He was a southern boy and he looked like he should be out hunting something. He insisted that he was only at the concert because the ticket was given to him, it was free. He then started flirting with the girls next to us. He was pretty toasted and when climbing over seats to get out, joked he might fall and his face could end up in their lap. Later however when he was smashed, he was all about grinding with his buddy and I believe there was even a quick peck. Then they disappeared for a very very long time. Bathroom stall break? When they came back suddenly the guy was more interested in the girls next to us, getting their numbers, chatting with them. He was totally ignoring his friend. I think someone had to prove his straightness! Of course he blew it when Madonna did an Evita number and he started singing it to the girls. I love Evita, but I was sober and I couldn’t even remember the words as well as he did!

Then there was another set of people near us who, oh lord, well it was a sad story. This woman’s husband had recently died, he was in the navy. She and her two gay friends were using the money to travel around and see Madonna, as she was a lifelong fan. She had a 9 month old baby, which she brought to this show, as it would be his first concert. Yes, she brought a 9 month old to a concert, a loud one. It soon became apparent that she and one of her friends were pretty high on something. They showed up smelling like pot actually. At one point she strips down to her bra, I guess she was hot? Had hot flashes? Well she got in trouble for that. Then at one point the baby gets hungry, so she whips out a tit to breast feed him. Oh it gets better, she has one of her friends take a photo of this! Yes, they needed to document breast feeding the kid at the Madonna concert. There was a lot more tragedy going on with them, but I’ll save it. Those were the highlights.

This is why I need the concert on DVD, I was rather distracted a lot :)

Mac, Madonna and a Cold

So yesterday the iMac arrived. I dragged my sick ass out of bed onto the couch thinking the Fed-Ex man would arrive as early as possible, which he did. I got it, then went back to bed. Yeah, I am sick. I somehow, from someone, got a lovely cold. When I find out who gave it to me, they will be punished.

I eventually did set the mac up, then giggled a lot. It’s big, so big, obscenely big. It dwarfs my laptop, which I always thought was rather too large for a laptop (it’s more of a desktop replacement really).

I’m still getting used to how it works. I did port all my photos and itunes over and was happy I got that far to be honest. I installed open office, which opens everything BUT my access databases. It seems this is an issue with the program right now, not the Mac. So if I need Access I guess I’m still chained to the PC for awhile ;)

For those who also wanted to convert and were looking for thoughts, there is a learning curve. Honestly had I not had a friend online helping me out, I would have been frustrated, especially with how to install programs on it. Programs are downloaded onto like these virtual disks on your desktop (which once you eject go into cyber space and are lost) and you have to move things from them to your applications folder to install them (think the programs folder on a PC). However you have to do it, it’s not done for you like on a PC usually. That took getting used to. I kept wondering where what I just installed went to!

The other thing that took getting used to is that mac interface is pretty much completely drag-n-drop. If you want a photo moved from one program to the other, drag it over to move or copy it, as opposed to the PC where it’s “Open file, select source/directory, select file.” There is something nice about that, yet as a PC user, it takes time to get used to.

The last big hurdle I have is moving my mail over, which I learned how to do today, I’m just not ready to tackle it yet. I might keep my mail on my laptop for the time being until I’m more settled on the mac.

Switching topics, tonight is Madonna! I’m stoked, but at the same time furious. How did I end up with this crummy cold right when Madonna comes to town? Oh I’m going, I just might be icky and miserable at the show. I’m sure I’ll be ready to come home and pass out the minute it’s over too.

People Are All The Same, We Only Get Judged By What We Do . . .

You are getting another politics post from me, consider it a record! So many in such a short period of time. This one comes with a bonus music video though :)

It has been a week since Obama won the election, and there seems to be a lot of shit hitting the fan. A reader posted here that in their home state, there was a race to buy guns. Well that story has now made headlines across the country. It seems a lot of people in a lot of states are stockpiling the guns. Does anyone think Obama or the libs will take away their right to bear arms? (Please note the irony as the amount of freedoms and liberties lost under Bush and the Patriot Act). It’s in the top ten bill of rights! There is a difference between that and gun control, and let me say I am for gun control. Unless you’re in the army fighting a war, I don’t think you need a semi-automatic let alone a full one. I’ve posted about this before too. Sorry, you are hunting deer, not an army of deer with razor sharp hooves looking to kill you. You probably have a better shot of hitting one with your car than a gun! Nobody but a soldier needs an oozie. I mean you can’t buy a tank, cannon or nuc now can you?

Sadly it seems racial incidents are on the rise. We just had a report on our local news that that black students at a local university were being harassed since the Obama win. That’s pretty sad. A friend also told me locally in his state of Oklahoma some poor woman died in a KKK initiation ceremony. I’ll feel sorry for her death, but won’t pity her stupidness for joining the KKK though. I’m sure they are getting a record number of enrollments! It looks like an Obama presidency could see a rise in hate crimes sadly.

Then there is Prop 8 and the messiness it has caused. I’ve already posted my mind on this. One of the big money funnelers behind the support of it has already said New York and Jersey will be their next targets. Target your own marriage, cause trust me some of your spouses probably have a little something-something going on on the side! Believe me when I say that I get hit on by your husbands enough on cruises and at the gym :)

So I thought a beautiful song was needed in this time. The song “Ugly” by Sugababes is just such a song. They aren’t well known outside of the U.K., where they are pretty much a smash hit. This song is just so beautiful though and has an amazing message.

Lyrics
When I was 7
They said I was strange
I noticed that my eyes and hair weren’t the same
I asked my parents if I was OK
They said you’re more beautiful
And that’s the way they show that they wish
That they had your smile
So my confidence was up for a while
I got real comfortable with my own style
I knew that they were only jealous cos

People are all the same
And we only get judged by what we do
Personality reflects name
And if I’m ugly then
So are you
So are you

There was a time when I felt like I cared
That I was shorter than everyone there
People made me feel like life was unfair
And I did things that made me ashamed
Cos I didn’t know my body would change
I grew taller than them in more ways
But there will always be the one who will say
Something bad to make them feel great

People are all the same
And we only get judged by what we do
Personality reflects name
And if I’m ugly then
So are you
So are you

People are all the same
And we only get judged by what we do
Personality reflects name
And if I’m ugly then
So are you
So are you

Everybody talks bad about somebody
And never realises how it affects somebody
And you bet it won’t be forgotten
Envy is the only thing it could be

Cos people are all the same
(The same, the same)
And we only get judged by what we do
(What we do, yeah, yeah)
Personality reflects name
And if I’m ugly then
(Yeah, you)
So are you
So are you

People are all the same
(Oh, oh, oh)
And we only get judged by what we do
(What we do, yeah)
Personality reflects name
And if I’m ugly then
(Yeah, so are you)
So are you
So are you

Tonight on ABC’s 20/20 was the debut of the new Britney Spears video “Womanizer.” Yes I sat through 20/20 just to see it, even though I knew they’d play it as the last story.

Since hearing the song I’ve loved it, just cause she’s finally taking a stand and lashing back at K-fed. If there is anything we (i.e. America) love more than a star falling on her face drunk in the gutter, it’s one rising from the gutter back to stardom. I’m cheering Britney on and hoping she gets her act together, which it looks like she is.

Oh yeah, also in this episode of 20/20 was the Peter Cook interview. Dear Mr. Cook, you did very little to paint yourself as anything but a sex addict and a sleaze by the way you sat in the chair while talking to Babwa, with your leg up and your package showing to the world!

Also proudly posted to ABC.com by me under their story about Britney . . .

I love how Britney’s video came with a parental advisory, but the Peter Cook interview about adultery, porn and internet sex addiction didn’t. Oh by the way, loved the angles of the Peter Cook interview and how he positioned himself in the chair to show off his package. Nice!
