I was on shots for years up until I was probably around 16 or 17 when it seemed they weren't doing anything for me anymore, so we stopped them. Not looking forward to the prick test. If you can't handle giving the shots yourself, maybe the BF can do it for you. Good Luck! Allergies are miserable. You have to go to an allergist and get a "prick" test (not as fun as it sounds) This painfull procedure will determine what goes into the shots. The shots are given in the office. You will be getting injected with the things you are allergic to, so you can react badly and possibly go into shock. This is not something you want to have happen in a non-clinical setting (trust me on this point - Anaphylactic shock is not fun and can be fatal) The concentration of the doses is increased gradually so you are committing to dozens of shots over a specific time frame. It is a big commitment, but REALLY worth it. The shots are a great idea!
