I found out it can take 6 months to a year for them to heal! Also i know a lot of people get them done at the piercing pagodas at the mall. Sooooooo bad for you! They put in studs with backs on them, which you should not have up there at all. You need to have a steel hoop like at the piercing parlor. So I tried to put a pair on, and it was a fight. They were mostly closed. :0( I don't have any simple post earrings, and think I need to get some to wear for a few days to reopen the holes properly.
