		<description>Actually, here in CT. we do have a law that can send adulterers to prison.  I remember in the early 90s two separate couples discovered the &quot;blue law&quot; that was still on the books, and sent their respective spouses to prison.  The courts didn&#039;t really have a choice, though they thought it was stupid; it was the law, so they had to do it.  One couple got back together after the spouse got out of prison.  The other couple (more naturally to my way of thinking), didn&#039;t.</description>

Right now we have civil unions, but I really refuse to do that unless there is some legal issue and we have to, because I don&#039;t believe in it or that it&#039;s right. Nobody in our society grows up dreaming of getting &quot;unionized.&quot;</description>

When Portland was doing gay marriage a few years back
we drove down from Seattle and did it. They reversed it not long after
but we have the certificate on the wall, still wear the rings and 
refer to each other as husband.

Its something to think about.</description>
