I finished it last night and loved it! As I got closer to the end, I just couldn't put it down. :-) I agree -- I wanted to take my time so it wouldn't be over too quickly, but it was getting harder and harder to not be accidentally spoiled. Dustin, I think your comparision to the Christmas is over feeling is right on -- I feel the same way.

The ending got me a little teary-eyed too, but I was pretty much expecting that. I'd love to see more with Hogwarts, but who knows if she'll change her mind. I, too, am looking forward to reading the whole series straight through!

I've finished, loved it, and am also hoping for a follow-up of the epilogue. Which was really sweet, and pretty much as I had imagined. :0)

Like Jenni, I wanted to take my time and savor it, but I was also terrified of having someone spoil it for me. So I didn't tear through it in one sitting, but I didn't drag my heels, either. I may have to re-read. The whole series. One right after the other.

*sigh*

I'm reading that too.
I'm afraid of finishing it..
So I'm taking it a few chapters at a time, instead of my usual one sitting read.

I think the ending of book 7 (Hallows) leaves the door wide open to begin writing more. Seeing she did leave the reader with a particular place, time and event. I would love to see her expand that day.

I was totally blown away by this ending. It seemed to me that she left the ending a little open ended...perhaps a new generation at Hogwarts to write about?? I too got teary eyed during the epilogue. Only took me 24 hours to read. Couldn't tear myself away, hence the laundry and cleaning didnt get done all weekend.

It was a good read, but I think the 4th book is still my fave. I'm satisfied with the ending though, and even got a little misty-eyed during that epilogue.

Spoile it. I have never read or watched Harry Potter; however, I want to know if it's really over, over or just semi-over.
