I returned home from Virginia this weekend. The drive back wasn’t as bad as I thought given the upcoming holiday week, but there were a good number of accidents that slowed me down.

Next week is my New Orleans getaway with my friends. Let me tell you, with my stress levels right now, I SO need this! This will be my 4th visit to the Big Easy. The first time was with a friend for an archaeology conference. The second time I was there was with the BF. We were leaving out of a cruise from there. One night in one of the bars I was introduced to “The Sugababes.” It was the song “Round Round.” I remember looking for the album in Tower Records the next day, but not paying the outrageous import price for the album. Since then I have purchased every one of their albums, though “Round Round” remains one of my favorite songs of theirs. The third trip was last summer with the friends I’m going again with this time around.

I blogged awhile back about a big decision I was making. Well I thought I wasn’t going to have to make it, now it’s back and I do. It’s been making me sick these past two days thinking about it. Like I said earlier, being an adult sucks! This is essential a significant part of my stress at the moment.

I wish I had more to talk about, but I don’t. The 4th is coming up tomorrow. I think we may try, depending on how tired the BF is and how drained I am, to go see “Transformers.” I know he’s not super excited about it. I had no intentions on going to see it myself until I saw the trailers which just look amazing. If it’s half as good as the trailers, I think he’ll actually really enjoy it.

After the 4th there are no soaps Thursday and Friday, so I will enjoy the break from them 🙂 Speaking of breaks, when I’m in New Orleans I’m doing my damnedest not only to enjoy it, but to not worry about the page that weekend. Yes I know I say that EVERY time I go away, and every time I waste time in my hotel room working on the page and watching the soaps. If I can help it, that won’t be this time 🙂
