Well I gave it my all today. Well maybe not my all, but a good effort?

Diet wise I think I did very good, better than usual with what I ate. I think I was a tad carb heavy, but I’m focusing more on calories rather than carbs.

School wise, well I tried. I didn’t get as much done as I wanted, but it was a start.

As far as exercise, that was a miserable failure! I tried some Dance Dance Revolution, after 15 minutes I was hurting and tired. It probably didn’t help I was playing on a hard wood floor in bare feet, but whatever. I obviously need to get into better shape, which means exercise of some kind every day.

I think the main problem I had with everything today stems from last night. My BF decided to rip down the wall paper in the bedroom last night. He’s going to try and re-paper and paint in there. About the same time I became completely congested to the point where I couldn’t breath. It took two hours for me to put the two instances together. I loaded up on benadryl, which knocked my ass out. This morning I didn’t want to get up at all. I’ve been sluggish all day.

Here is hoping tomorrow is a little more productive, though with the heat set to be worse, who knows.

  1. Not hopeful lol. Last night was another terrible night thanks to the rest of the wallpaper! If I go upstairs tonight and close up, I’m sleeping downstairs in the guest room!

  2. Sounds like you’re giving the diet a good honest try. As someone who recently had some ups and downs with Weight Watchers (did well all through the winter and spring, but gained some pounds back in July), I totally relate to trying to find the weight loss practices that work for you without feeling totally deprived.

Getting a start with school is better than doing nothing. I sat on my ass for months trying to decide if I dared to switch careers (from education to bookstore retail as part of a plan for my partner and me to one day own our own bookstore). It took several kicks in the ass (from myself and others) to dare to take the challenge. And now with my partner and me preparing to move to Boston (so he can take a well-paying marketing job that will help fund our bookstore dream), I am excited about new frontiers in my work as well as other areas.

Regarding the exercise, it can be hard to motivate yourself to exercise during the dog days of summer (especially when we have heat warnings like this week). Do you have access to a pool where you can swim or even just horse around? Swimming is excellent exercise!

Hope that your respiration is better today…and that you are over the worst of your breathing problems!

  3. I don’t have a pool 🙁 I am not fond of pools much anyways, unless it was mine and I was the only one who swam in it 🙂
